Recorded conversation between Ned Rifkin and Gary Falk at Falk's studio, New York, Dec. 5, 1984, in preparation for Rifkin's exhibition "Signs", 1985, at the New Museum of Contemporary Art. Falk talks about his current work; his use of computer generated images; his arrangement of images; his use of patterns on grid systems; the multiple meaning of images and "symbolic structure"; working with enamel and acrylic on alumnium and other media; Robert Longo's work on steel panels; and Falk's one-month residency at the Edward Albee Foundation in Montauk. Rifkin discusses the exhibition in New York and at the Corcoran Gallery of Art and a potential publication.

Gary Falk (1954-1986) was a painter and assemblage artist from New York, N.Y. Falk developed a personal sign system in his works of art.
